Oral cavity antiseptic with local anaesthetic action.
Symptomatic treatment of oral and pharyngeal infections:
- Sore throat associated with a cold
- Pharyngitis or laryngitis
- Stomatitis
- Aphthous ulcers
- Gingivitis
- Relieves oral and pharyngeal pain
- It may also be used as an adjunct therapy for tonsillitis
- Orocil Lido® may be prescribed for children and adolescents aged from 4 to 18 years and adults.
Do not use Orocil Lido® if you are allergic to benzoxonium chloride or other quaternary ammonium compounds, lidocaine hydrochloride, or other local anaesthetic amides, or to any of the other excipients of this pharmaceutical preparation. Contains saccharin and sorbitol. Not indicated for treatment for more than 2 weeks. Use with caution if there are wounds or lesions on the oropharyngeal mucosa. To be avoided if you are pregnant and especially during the first 3 months of pregnancy. Not to be taken during or before a meal because of the anesthetic effect of lidocaine, which may affect swallowing. Not for children under 4 years of age.
